Make Formal Complaint, Police Advise Victim Of Attack
The Rivers State Police command has advised one Mr Chris who received several machete cuts from one aka Olowo last week Thursday to make a formal report to the division.
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command, SP Grace Koko in her reaction to the incident, said the Police do not have such a report. She adviced the victim to report the case to the division for the command to have a clue.
Our correspondent reports that the victim, Chris who came for a burial was said to have been trailed and ambushed by the said Olowo and his boys who stabbed him severally before he was rescued by vigilante members.
Meanwhile, the Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu Oroworukwo, Mile 3 Diobu, Comrade Godstime Ihunwo has called for the immediate arrest of Olowo and his boys.
In an interview with our reporter, Comrade Ihunwo said at about 12:40pm last week Thursday his men rescued one Mr Chris who was stabbed to coma at National Street by one aka Olowo and his boys who accused the victim of having a love affair with his (Olowo) ex-wife.
Comrade Ihunwo said his men rushed the victim who was in a critical condition to hospital where he was being attended to.
Comrade Ihunwo condemned the alleged attempted murder of Chris by Olowo and his boys while calling on law enforcement agencies to immediately arrest and prosecute Olowo as nobody is above the law.
The ex-wife of Olowo who declined to be recorded and want her identity kept under wrap, told our reporter that though she and Olowo divorced three years ago, but she had no love affair with the victim as she and the victim were just mere friends.
When our reporter visited the hospital where the victim was being admitted, our reporter was not allowed access to the him by the medical personnel on duty as the victim was in a critical condition at emergency ward of the health facility.
