RSCSC: New Leadership Harps On Productivity, Discipline
The new team saddled with the responsibility of piloting the affairs of civil servants in the state including employment and promotion has promised to make the Commission better than it met it.
One of the members of the board Bar. Osima Gina dropped the hint while talking with newsmen shortly after the state legislature screened and cleared them for the job.
He said that the new team would work towards a new Rivers State Civil Service Commission, that is productive and disciplined.
The lawmakers during the screening had described all nominees as individuals with track records and proven integrity who have served the State in various capacities.
They said such people would flow with the Executive to ensure that civil servants in the State are duely promoted.
On his part, the Speaker, Rt Hon Ikuinyi-Owaji Ibani observed that the nominees were not new faces and expressed hope that their assignment would bring joy to the civil servants and the state at large.
He charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the Governor and Rivers people.
Those screened and cleared are Sir. Clifford Ndu Walter to serve as the Chairman, Ven. Richard Ngozi Okpara, Barr. Osima Gina, John Paschal Nali and Chief Mike Elechi, to serve as members of the Commission.
