Oyigbo Campaign Coordinator Hails High Court Judgment

The Oyigbo campaign coordinator for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2019 general elections, Hon John Ndubueze Nwachukwu (JP), has applauded the High Court Judgment of Monday January 7, 2019, which nullified all the primary election of the All Progressives  Congress (APC) in Rivers State, saying that the outcome was expected, going by the impunitive action of the former governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.

The former Special Adviser to the governor on small/medium business development, made it clear in a chat with newsmen over the weekend that anybody doing anything without recourse to the rule of law will definitely fail, sying Amaechi is impunity personified.

No matter the media acrobatics engaged by the APC, they are out of the race and the self-inflicted injury is traced to Chibuike Amaechi,” he said.

Hon. Nwanchukwu stated that since Amaechi left power, he has shown desperation to rule the State by proxy.

“He has not hidden his disdain for his successor, Governor Nyesom Wike, and his interest to ensure that the performing governor of Nigeria fails”.

Amaechi went as far as boasting that he will see where Wike will get money to pay salaries let alone do any project as he cleaned the state treasury, but according to the former SA, the governor has not only been paying salaries and pension but has continue to dazzle even his detractors on projects delivery through prudent management of resources.

Hon. Nwanchukwu reassured Rivers people that with the governor’s performance in all the nooks and crannies of the State, victory is assured for the PDP in the forthcoming election.

On the campaigners, he charged them to go into all the units to preach the gospel which he said has been made easier by the governor’s excellent performance.

While inaugurating the local government area campaign council, Hon. Nwachukwu disclosed that before the main election, there will be a “mock” election to test their performance which he christened “operation strengthen your units”.

Among those appointed were Hon. Emeka Chibuo as the secretary of the campaign council and Hon. Obenachi Ekeke as media/strategies director.

Also speaking at the event, the council chairman, Hon. Prince Gerald Oforji charged the campaign officials to go to their units and mobilize support for the party.

The council boss, equally advised them to accommodate every person or organization which indicate interest to work with the PDP to swell their chances, pledging to do all within his power to support them and the party to achieve victory at the general election.
