As anxiety continues to pervade the air over Corona virus pandemic ,the Minister-in-Charge of Rhema Chapel International Churches Port Harcourt, Pastor Abiola Ajadi has admonished Christians to shore up their faith in God by declaring His word over circumstances of life in order to have victory.
He stated this during Sunday service tagged Anointing for Success Service. Speaking on the topic ‘Faith or Fear,’ he described fear as False Evidence Appearing Real. He informed the congregation that the devil deploys fear as his potent weapon against believers.
The clergy stated that while the enemy’s plan is to deplete the hope of Christians, God had provided a way our through His word, drawing from Joshua1:9, where God told Joshua not to exercise fear but be courageous.
On the fear of Corona, he lamented that everybody is fearful including Christians, which is characteristic of the end time, where men’s heart would fail them.
Speaking on common effects of what the pandemic has come to do in the world, he noted that one of such “is to make you change the way you think about God and His promises. Another effect is to change the way you talk, sometimes recklessly. “
Continuing, the Pastor urged Christians: “Hear the word of faith, it has the ability to change and condition your life.” He cautioned Christians to be conscious of their utterances, because it has a way of controlling their lives. He noted that based on the way people spread messages of fear, prices of commodities have skyrocketed, including that of hand sanitizers which price used to be between N300 and N500 and now sell between N1,000 to N1,500′” because people are taking advantage. In the name of Jesus, I banish corona virus from this land. Fear comes to weigh you down .The purpose of corona virus is to weigh you down. Anything that weighs you down from inside wants to overcome you. You need to overcome fear. “
He charged Christians to stop speaking fear and speak faith.” When they say COVID-19, declare Psalm 91. Declare the mind of God against what is happening. Avoid evil report, live in the consciousness of divine protection. Meditate on God’s report.”
He concluded by saying that presently the world is sick and that the church is the solution.
