A fake lawyer who won all the 26 cases he handled while plying his trade as an attorney has been arrested.
Brian Mwenda Njagi was said to have argued 26 cases before High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal Judges in Nairobi, Kenya and won all of them before the long arm of the law caught up with him.
Narrating how he was able to register and practise as a lawyer undetected for the period, the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), said Brian Mwenda Njagi was able to criminally access the LSK portal, identify an account with a name corresponding to his, tamper with the details and upload his own photo in a bid to infiltrate Kenya’s legal profession.
Reacting, some netizens have asked that all the lawyers he defeated in court should be prosecuted for letting the legal profession down while others have argued that he should serve his time, after which he should be allowed to take the bar exam and his registration as a lawyer regularised.
