Five Suspects Arrested Over Killing Of Bolt Driver, Automobile Mechanic In Port Harcourt
The Rivers State Police Command says it has arrested five suspects in connection with the killing of Bolt driver at D-line axis and Automobile mechanic at Diobu axis of Port Harcourt last week.
SP Grace Iringe Koko, Public Relations Officer of the command made the disclosure in a statement last Sunday.
The Police in the statement reaffirmed that Rivers State is peaceful while revealing that some of the hoodlums who committed the heinous crime, especially in the D/Line and Diobu axis were arrested last week Thursday as investigations is ongoing.
She said CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka assures that the police will continue to ensure adequate security for the state while respecting the fundamental human rights of the residents.
Recall that gunmen shot and killed 3 different persons in three different part of Port Harcourt last week.
Giving more insight into the arrest of the suspects, SP Koko revealed that operatives of Olu-obasanjo division raided a criminal hideout within D/Line, CFC bus stop, while approaching Aba Road some group of boys saw the police patrol van and took to their heels, they were giving a hot chase, five of the suspects were arrested and an abandoned revolver pistol with three loaded ammunition was recovered.
