IAUE Fixes Matriculation Of Fresh Students For Feb. 26, 2026

The Senate of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has approved Saturday, 28th February 2026, as the Matriculation Day for fresh students.

This decision was taken at the Senate meeting which held on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025.

The Chairman of the Senate, Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, urged lecturers to submit results for students to graduate in the forthcoming Convocation ceremony scheduled for March 2026.

Professor Chibuzor Chile Nwobueze was appointed as the new Dean of Postgraduate School, replacing Professor Good Wilson who had served out his tenure

Professor Chioma Chukwueggu was appointed as Associate Dean of the Postgraduate School- Other appointments include:

Professor Emmanuel Chisa Ibara as Director, Community Service

Professor Okorinama Abarinkia Francis as Head of Department of Microbiology

Dr Constance Amannah as Acting Head of Department of Technology

Dr (Barrister) Ben Nwekeala as Acting Director, University Printing Press and Bookshop

Dr Florence Iroanwusi as Acting Director, Graduate Business School, St John’s Campus

Dr Wofuru Amadi Robert as Deputy Director, Entrepreneurship Centre

Dr Ikechi Okwampam as Acting Head, Department of Environmental Management

Dr. Fortune Sam- Eleyi as Acting Head Department of Business Education

Dr Sampson Wagbara as Acting Dean, Students Affairs

Senate mandated a committee to evaluate facilities at the St John’s Campus, Aba Road, with a view to relocating some departments and offices to decongest the main campus.The Committee Members are;

Professor Joseph Kinanee, also Director Academic Planning as Chairman.

Professor Priye Iyalla-Amadi as member

Dr Prince Obinna as member

Dr Wisdom Owo as member

Dr Patience Spencer as member

Dr Sampson Wagbara as member-

Dr Silverline Igweagbara as a member. Results presented from various Faculties including that of Administration and Management, Agriculture, Education, Humanities, Natural and Applied Sciences, Social Sciences, Vocational and Technical Education and Postgraduate School were approved by Senate.
