Rotary Club Of Trans Amadi-organizes Vocational Trainings In Azuabie Community
No fewer than 100 persons comprising men and women living in Azuabie Community in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State have commenced a One month free vocational training and skills Acquisition Programme organized by Rotary Club of Trans Amadi, District 9141, supported by Rotary foundation.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event held inside Azuabie Town Hall recently, the President, Rotary Club of Trans Amadi, Rtn. Stanley Echefu stated that it was obvious that the vocational training project which falls in line with the seven areas of focus in Rotary has greatly helped many individuals to become self-reliant towards building up their families.
Rtn. Echefu, however, charged the enrolled participants in the skills training programme not only to be committed but also see the vocational training as an opportunity to give in their best in learning relevant skills that will help them become better persons in near future.
“Truly, I’m very convinced that if all of you can put in your best and be focused, you will not only acquire the skills but will use the trade to help members of your families and the society at large.
“Therefore, it is my candid advice that all the participating trainees should not joke with the training programme but ensure that they take it seriously as a life changing opportunity”.
“Infact, I can assure you that members of Rotary Club of Trans Amadi are happy with lots of good testimonies coming from those that had participated in our vocational training and skills acquisition in the past and I have no doubt, that same good testimonies would be given at the end of this years training programme”, he frankly stated.
On his part, the paramount ruler of Okujagu Community, Chief Engr. Sam Lambert was full of praises for members of Rotary Club of Trans Amadi for organizing a free vocational training and skills acquisition aimed at proffering solution to reduce the rate of unemployment in our society.
“Honestly, I’m highly overwhelmed with the good idea of Rotary Club of Trans Amadi, coming into our community with vocational training, especially at this time unemployment and lack of empowerment has become a serious challenge in virtually all the communities in the State”
“I think it behooves on all the registered participants in the training to take their leaning seriously, so that they will acquire the relevant skills and in turn, train others in the community”, the visibly elated community head summed up.
