The divine power that caused the resurrection of Jesus Christ from death after three (3) days in the grave is still available and is able to roll away every infirmity and challenges of mankind if only Christians would love Him, believe Him and accept Him as the Lord and Saviour.
The Diobu Provincial Chairman of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim & Seraphim Church (ESOCS), Senior Apostle John Uche Kalu stated this while delivering a sermon at the beginning of a 3-day ESOCS Diobu Province First Quarter Open Air Preaching held at No. 9 Akokwa Street, Mile 2 Diobu, Port-Harcourt.
The theme of the sermon which witnessed much crowd was “Oh! Lord Roll Away The Stone!”.
The preacher explained that the stone which was placed at Jesus’ tomb was so large and heavy but was easily rolled away by the angels sent to assist the situation.
Senior Apostle Kalu disclosed further that the stone could represent one’s challenges in life but the largeness or gravity of the challenges is immaterial as long as one places one’s trust and hope in God, adding that there was no need for Christians to be anxious about anything.
Quoting from the Holy book, the man of God stressed that mankind has their own share of the divine intervention.
He said for Christians to thrive, they should lean wholly on God as His divine power is still available and sufficient for us all and that God is never late .
He made it clear that God and Satan are indeed campaigning for membership into their Kingdoms. He however emphasized that mankind should be wise in making their choice as according to the Holy Book “ the devil as a thief comes to steal, kill and to destroy”.
The Diobu District Chairman of ESOCS, Supervising Apostle Gabriel C. Uwandu Agbaere in a chat with newsmen shortly afterwards disclosed that the quarterly crusade is a new introduction by the province as a reach out programme, adding that other men of God will equally be lined up with a new topic as spiritually directed for the benefit of mankind.
He disclosed further that the programme will eventually be rotated among the districts in order to penetrate into the grassroots in accordance with the directives of the Prelate of the church, His Most Eminence, Elder (Dr) David L. Bob-Manuel.
