A group committed to the enthronement of good governance, democracy and social justice in Kalabari Kingdom and by extension, entire Rivers State, the Kalabari Unity Project Initiative for Good Governance, KUPIGG, has commended the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the emergence of Governor Nyesom Wike as its Governorship flag bearer in the 2019 general elections in the State.
KUPIGG, in conjunction with its amiable patron, Engr. Victor Obuzor (JP), also heartily felicitated with the governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, on his well-deserved victory at the just concluded Special State (Elective) Congress of the PDP in Rivers State, describing Wike’s emergence as the party candidate as divinely inspired, a blessing for Rivers people and result of hardwork, patriotism and development-sensitivity of the governor.
Describing the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State under Bro. Felix Obuah as focused, transparent, and fair to all, KUPIGG in a statement signed by its President-General, Hon. Comrade Jerry Horsfall, stated that the Party has made the right choice and properly positioned itself for victory come 2019 general elections.
The group noted that Governor Wike emerged through a free, peaceful, credible and transparent Governorship Primary Election conducted by the State PDP, under the able leadership of indefatigable State Chairman, Bro. Felix Obuah, while also appreciating the National Screening Committee, for finding Governor Wike worthy and qualified to carry on the mantle of governance in Rivers State.
KUPIGG was also full of praise of the delegates to the State Congress from the 23 local government areas, “who conducted themselves well and acknowledged good works by voting enmass for the great man of honour, a performer and visionary leader, Chief Nyesom Wike”.
“To our delegates from Akuku-Toru, Asari-Toru and Degema Local Government Areas, we are impressed with your block votes for Governor Wike and are optimistic that the governor will always reciprocate this kind support and loyalty to the party,” Comrade Horsfall noted.
KUPIGG believed that come 2019, Governor Wike will sail to victory, assuring the party and the governor of the group’s unflinching support in terms of prayer mobilization of the grassroot and other efforts required of members for the success of Governor Wike at the polls.
