Rumuomasi Royal Family Lays Son To Rest
Elder Emeka Francis Nwagboso, popularly known as Mekus, was laid to rest over the weekend, more than a year after his death at the age of 55. Born into the Nwagboso royal family of Rumuomasi, his burial followed a lengthy period of family disputes that delayed the ceremony.
The chief mourner, HRH Eze Edward Badubulachi Nwagboso JP, explained that efforts that resolved family disagreements ultimately led to the successful burial.
He emphasized the importance of peace within the royal family, stating that it is essential for them to serve as a model of harmony and progress in the community.
Eze Nwagboso urged his family members to maintain peace to uphold the legacy left by their ancestors.
He described his late brother as sociable and hardworking, noting that after completing secondary school, Mekus was trained as a mechanic and driver, which allowed him to work with various organizations, including Saipem Nigeria Limited. The chief mourner expressed gratitude to all who attended the funeral, especially the Success Chapel Mission for conducting the service, as well as HRH Eze Sir Godwin Hope Worlumenakwe JP, the Rumuomasi Council of Chiefs and Elders, and the Oropotoma Council of Chiefs and Elders.
