Ahead May 29 Swearing-In Gov Wike Dissolves Cabinet
…Directs Handover To Perm. Secs
…10 Commissioners To Be Re-appointed
Barely a week to the swearing-in of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for another four-year term, all members of the State Executive Council (SEC) have been directed to submit their Hand-over Notes as the government winds up its four-year tenure.
National Network Newspaper gathered that the Head of Service, Rufus N. Godwin, in a circular directed all commissioners, as heads of their respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies, to submit their Hand-over Notes to their Permanent Secretaries not later than Monday, 20th May, 2019.
According to our reliable information, Ministries, Departments and Agencies without Permanent Secretaries were directed to submit their Hand-over Notes to the officers covering the duties of Permanent Secretaries.
Permanent Secretaries were directed to meet with His Excellency, the Governor yesterday Tuesday, 21st May, 2019 at 10.00 a.m. at the Executive Council Chambers of Government House.
They were directed to bring along with them the Hand-over Notes in respect of their Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
As at press time, the outcome of the meeting the Governor held with Permanent Secretaries were not made public but we gathered that it might not be unconnected with ensuring that handover notes received from all the ministries were properly documented.
Some Commissioners had expressed joy and appreciation to the Governor for given them the opportunity to serve.
Meanwhile, information reaching us, indicate that not fewer than 10 commissioners who served in the first tenure of Governor Wike, would be reappointed.
