National Network Confirms Ken Asinobi, Substantive Editor

The Management of Port Harcourt based National Network newspaper at the weekend capped its 15th Anniversary Celebration with the confirmation of Mr. Ken Anele Asinobi as its substantive Editor, bringing to end nearly ten months of satisfactory service delivery in acting capacity.

The news of the elevation which was announced by the Publisher of the newspaper, Pastor Jerry Needam during the Thanksgiving Service at the Church of God (Seventh Day) Family Worship Center in Eagle Island, Port Harcourt on Saturday, was received with joy as co-workers, colleagues and guests who honoured the occasion gave a standing ovation over the gesture.

The Publisher stressed that Asinobi’s elevation stemmed from hard work, diligence, passion, dedication and professionalism, adding that all entitlements attached to the office would be given to the newly appointed Editor.

Ken Asinobi holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Mass Communication from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (now Rivers State University); and a National Diploma in Law from the Rivers State College of Arts and Science (now Capt. Elechi Amadi Polytechnic), Port Harcourt.

He joined the employ of National Network newspaper as a reporter in 2009 and rose to Sports Editor in 2003.  He became Deputy Editor in 2016 and was appointed Acting Editor in February, 2019 and has functioned in that capacity until Saturday, October 19, 2019 when he assumed substantive capacity.
