Fashion Designer Flees After Abducting, Raping 15-Year-Old
A fashion designer popularly known as Mene from Ogoni is now on the run following his alleged abduction and rape of fifteen years old girl in his shop located at Obaziolu/Ovim street,Mile 3 Diobu Port Harcourt, Rivers state National Network reliably gathered.
The fashion designer who resides in Dim Street in Mile 3 Diobu now at large was said to have abducted the minor when she was coming back from church last week. The source revealed that the fashion designer had told the victim that he want her to pass on an information to her mother, only for the suspect with the help of his friends to force the victim inside his shop threatening to kill her if she raise alarm.
The man was alleged to have detained the victim till the next day and raped her severally inside his shop which resulted to severe bleeding.
According to our source, the parents of the victim were thrown out of balance as they searched for their daughter all through the night but could not find her. The parents later found their daughter crawling along the street in pool of blood due to the injury she sustained from the rape.
Confirming the incident to our reporter, the Public Relation Officer of Dim/Wokoma lane/Ojoto lane and Mile 3 section of Ojoto street vigilante group, Nelson Ogbuji said “the parents of the girl reported the matter through one of their relations”.
He explained that the suspect had ran away before the matter was reported to the vigilante members. Mr. Ogbuji stated that the parents went to the shop where the incident took place without informing the Police or the vigilante personnel which gave the suspect the opportunity to escape. The spokesperson of the vigilante group revealed that the outfit will work with the Police to ensure the suspect is arrested whenever he is sighted and brought to justice. He also stated that the suspect is not the owner of the shop but an apprentice to the operator of the fashion home.
When contacted by National Network, the Parents of the victim informed our reporter that since the suspect had ran away they do not intend to make the case public so that their daughter will not be stigmatized.
The Parents of the victim said “we do not want many people to hear it, our daughter is recuperating and she will be fine soon”.
They further noted that they have left the suspect to God.
