The remains of late Ezinne Lucy Akpelu-Okereke who departed this sinful world September 7, 2019 will be committed to mother earth on Friday, November, 22 at her husband’s compound, Omuordu-Egbeda.
According to burial arrangements as announced by the chief mourner, Mr. Thaddeus Okereke Akpelu on behalf of the family, the final rites will begin on Thursday, Nov. 21 with a Vigil Mass at St. Gregory Catholic Church Omuordu-Egbeda at 5pm.
Body leaves Madonna University Teaching Hospital’s Mortuary to her husband’s residence at Omuordu-Egbeda Friday, 22 by 8am.
At 9am, the body will be lying in state at her husband’s residence and later proceeds to St. Gregory Catholic Church, Omuordu-Egbeda for Funeral Mass at 10am.
Mama Lucy while alive, was a devout Christian and active Catholic married to late Catechist Akpelu Okereke Hyacinth of Ndekaihua Omegbuluka Omuordu-Egbeda in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Late Ezinne Lucy is survived by numerous children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relations among whom is Rev. Fr. SLT. Henry Akpelu-Okereke of the Nigerian Navy.
She was aged, 70.
