RISAA Launches Client’s Online Payment Portal
Determined to ensure sanity and good service delivery, the Acting Managing Director of the Rivers State Signage and Advertisement Agency (RISAA), Chief (Hon.) Tony Okeah has flagged off an online payment portal aimed at easing business transactions with clients.
Addressing journalists on Friday, Chief Okeah stated that the initiative was in tended to instill transparency and accountability as well as to engender proper service delivery to the business community.
The online payment portal, he explained, would make it convenient for those in business with the Agency to carry out transactions with them at the comfort of their homes and offices at all times.
He further explained that the online portal is intrinsic to demonstrate Governor Nyesom Wike’s government of transparency and accountability, stressing that where these are absent, it becomes difficult for government to play its role of efficient service delivery.
“The governor is emphatic that all government ministries, agencies and parastatals key into the new ways of making payments and ensuring efficiency in their dealings with government, in order to avoid loopholes and loose ends”, said Okeah, a lawyer and former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The RISAA boss expressed confidence that the new innovation would help government improve its revenue generation and embark on more developmental projects for people of the State, appealing to the general public and the Agency’s clients to take advantage of the portal and discharge their obligations.
Also speaking, Senior Special Adviser to Governor Wike on ICT, Mr. Ibifuro Asawo said the mandate of RISAA was to ensure that the vision of the State government in ensuring that ministries, departments and agencies are automated is actualized.
He disclosed that the online portal would serve the purpose for clients to do their registration, renewal, get information, communicate and even make support, adding that it is a one-stop shop.
