Couples Told Not To Isolate Selves On Account Of Convid-19

Couples have been told not to isolate themselves because of the fear of spreading of the dreaded corona virus (Convid 19) pandemic but rather should always have faith in God, be faithful to themselves, be prayerful, observe personal hygiene and for now shun social gatherings as the sickness has no respect for any person.

The Bishop of First African Church Mission (FACM) Ogba Diocese in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, Rt. Rev. S.O.N. Daniel who gave the admonition while speaking at the wedding ceremony of Rotract Christian Obi Otoboh and his wife Mrs. Faith Ogorchukwu Otoboh (Nee Odila) at the FACM Obosi branch, Omoku on Saturday 21/03/2020 noted that marriage as decreed by God is for life and for better for worst, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to live and to cherish until they are parted by death at old age and urged parents of the couple not to mingle into the private affairs of the new couple.

Bishop Daniel who was supported at the ceremony by Rt. Rev. Bright Eze (JP), Bishop of Ikwere Diocese of FACM, the resident pastor, Venerable Azubuike Omoku Elebachi and other celebrated men of God congratulated the new couple. And wish them peaceful and successful married life.

The groom is the son of the P.R.O., Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh, JP, while the bride is the daughter of an Omoku based successful business man and trader, Mr. Erasmos Emeka Odila all of them hail from Omoku community in Rivers States.

Speaking at the reception which took place at the Omoku Civic Centre, the Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland, His Eminence, Sir (Dr.) Chukumela Nnam Obi II, (OON, DSSRS, AP, JP) ably represented by his Traditional Prime Minister, HRH, Eze Louis Chukwudi Ajie, JP (Eze Iyasera 13th of Ogbaland) hinted that the approved date for traditional marriage in Ogba kingdom is Orie day and frowned against the practice of some people going to church for wedding before Traditional Marriage describing that as unacceptable and alien to Ogba people.

The Eze Ogba who congratulated the couple for their marriage and wish them God’s guidance, commended their parents especially the groom father, Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh (Mmboh Krikri) for doing what is expected of a father.

Present at the occasion were the Chairman, Omoku City Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, HRH, Eze Daniel Ngozi Ebiri, the Eze Obohia of Ogbaland, Eze Sir Michael Olowu, the Eze Obieti Omoku of Ogbaland, HRH Eze Ikechukwu Onita, the Provost FCE(T) Omoku, Dr. Emmanuel Ikenyiri, the Registrar of the College, FCE(T) Omoku, Dr. Liverpool Onyije, Former Registrar, Federal University of Agriculture Umudike Abia State, Sir Dr. A.C. Nwokocha, the Secretary ONELGA Council, Dr. Innocent Osam, Former Secretary ONELGA Council, Barr. Victor Onyije, two former Chairmen of Omoku CDC, Dr. Okechukwu Amadike and Dr. Evergreen Woko, a Chieftain of PDP in Rivers State Chief B.I. Ordu, JP, the Special Adviser to ONELGA Chairman on Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief (HON). M.A. Osaji, a member of RTC Board of Directors, Hon. Azu Nwadibia among other personalities, groups, clubs, students, friends and family members.

In their appreciation, the new couple through the groom, Mr. Christian Obi Otoboh thanked Almighty God, the Bishop and members of First African Church Mission, the parents, Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland, the Provost, staff of Federal College of Education (Technical), Omoku, Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, Members of Rotary Clubs and indeed all those who made the ceremony peaceful and successful and pray God to reward them abundantly.
