Rivers State Records Its Highest Figures Of COVID-19

The latest report released on the country’s COVID-19 confirmed cases shows that; Rivers State emerged 2nd on the list of most affected states in 24hours , with a 36 new confirmed cases of COVID-19.

This brings the total number of cases in Rivers State to 157 confirmed cases, of which 114 are active, 32 are being discharged and 11 deaths recorded so far.

Lagos which emerged 1st again since it is the epicentre of the pandemic disease in Nigeria, still recorded the highest figures in Nigeria within 24 hours, with a number of 161 cases.

The country recorded 276 new cases, 74 discharged and 16 deaths of COVID-19 across 15 states of Nigeria according to NCDC, on 26th May.

They affected states are; Lagos (161), Rivers (36), Edo (27), Kaduna (19), Nasarawa (10), Oyo (6), Kano (4), Delta (3), Ebonyi (3), Gombe (2), Ogun (1), Ondo (1), Borno (1), Abia (1), Bauchi (1).

This brings the total to 8,344 cases, 2,385 discharged and 249 deaths recorded in the country as at 26th of May 2020.
