Rumuwoji Community Appoints 3-Man ELECO
The Rumuwoji Community Council has appointed a three-Man Electoral Committee to conduct the forth coming election of the community.
The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the community, Ikechi Wigodo who made the appointment during the Council meeting of the community last Saturday, urged members of the Electoral committee to be fair to all aspirants and candidates for the forth coming election.
Wigodo charged them to ensure that all candidates are given a level playing field, stressing that all hands must be on deck to move the community forward by maintaining peace.
He called on all indigenes of Rumuwoji community to assist in rebuilding the community for the general good of all and generations to come.
The Community Chairman also Commended members of the community for their unalloyed support to the present Caretaker committee
Adding that their primary objective was to set a clear agenda for peace and reconcile all aggrieved parties in order to establish a firm foundation for the young generation to consolidate on.
According to him, “peace is paramount, the community cannot achieve this, if we are still divided and at war.
” We call on all to forget the past . The recent court judgement was supposed to have reconciled all in the community to work as one”, he said
Those appointed to serve in the Electoral committee include; Hon. Godspower Omunakwe Wobo as Chairman, Barrister Innocent Wigodo Secretary and Mr Aleruchi Wobo.
The chairman of the Electoral Committee, Hon. Godspower Omunakwe Wobo on his part, gave assurances that the Committee would be fair to all concerned with strict adherence to the constitution.
