The incumbent Ochimba of Umuozoche Town in Etche Local Government Area, Eze Ibezim Eke (JP) has emerged as the next Onye Isi Agwuru of Okehi Clan.
A statement issued by the General Secretary of Etche Local Government Area Council of Traditional Rulers, Chief Hezekiah Nwaemegblem and made available to National Network said his emergence stemmed from his success in the screening exercise conducted by the Chairman and Executive members of Etche Supreme Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs at the palace of Onye Isi Etche, His Eminence, Ochie E.N.B. Opurum JP, GSSRS, MFR at his Ndashi Palace on Friday last week.
At the end of the keenly contested election which was conducted on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Etche Local Government Headquarters, Okehi, Eze Ibezim Eke scored the highest votes cast and was thereafter coronated as the Onye Isi Agwuru Okehi Clan.
The colourful crowning ceremony was carried out by Onye Isi Etche in Council, His Eminence, Ochie E.N.B. Opurum JP, GSSRS, MFR at his palace Ndashi Etche.
