Gov Wike Commiserates With Family Of Late Justice Karibi-Whyte
As preparations climaxed for the burial of late Justice Adolphus Karibi-Whyte, a retired Supreme Court Judge, His Excellency, Barr Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, has commiserated with the family of the late eminent jurist whom he described as a foremost legal icon at the national and international level and deserving nothing less than a befitting State burial.
The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, stated this when he briefed members of the family who paid a courtesy call on him on Monday in Port Harcourt.
Danagogo in the same vein, expressed his appreciation for Governor Wikes’ magnanimity in releasing the sum of 50 Million Naira to the family of the late judge.
Presenting the cheque, the SSG noted that, Governor Wike has again demonstrated his love for the Kalabari people which he has shown through various developmental projects and welfare support to individuals and organizations. He urged them to be peaceful and deploy the fund to judicious use.
Meanwhile, Commendation Service for the late Judge is slated to hold on Friday 25th September, 2020 by 10 am at St Cyprian Anglican Church while the Burial Service will hold at Abonnema in Akuku Toru LGA on Saturday 26th September, 2020.
