The remains of Late Princess (Mrs) Agnes Constance Godpower-Ojobah (Nee Obuoha Obi) immediate younger sister of the Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland, His Eminence, Sir (Dr) Chukumela Nnam Obi II (OON, DSSRS, A.P, JP) was on Saturday 26th September, 2020 laid to rest with tears flowing uncontrollable from both old and young when her body was brought out for interment because of her good character.
The Late Princess (Mrs) Ojobah who departed this world on Sunday 21st June, 2020 (her husband Birthday) following a brief illness was 76 years old.
According to a statement by the media Aide of the Oba (Eze-Ogba) of Ogbaland, Prince Charles Amadike-Otoboh, JP (Mmboh kri kri) through his official twitter handle stated that while the Princess burial ceremony was going on at her husband residence, The Ogba monarch was at his palace busy receiving dignitaries from far and near who came to commiserate with him as he Oba (Eze-Ogba) could not physically grace the burial ceremony of his younger sister in accordance with Ogba customs and Tradition.
Oba Chukumela Nnam Obi II was quoted to have with heavy heart briefly told his guests about the life of the departed Princess (Mrs) Ojobah as according to him, She was the last entrant into their umbilical cord made up of Four Children (One Male (him) and 3 female) and was barely three (3) months old when their mother died.
He paid special tributes to his/elder siblings Princess (Mrs) Onita Nkweke and Princess (Mrs) Adikabu Masi all of blessed memories for good and remarkable roles they played in the Family right from the date their mother joined her ancestors and gave God all the glories.
He used the opportunity to express his profound appreciation to all Persons, Groups, Former and Present Government Officials from all levels, Religious bodies, Traditional Rulers from far and near, friends and various communities within and outside Rivers State for their condolence visits, letters, phone calls and prayers sincethe passage of his sister noting that their show of concern, prayers, and love has strengthened and sustained the entire Umu-Eze Ogba Royal Family of Ogba Kingdom immensely and prayed Almighty God to protect, bless and reward them abundantly.
The burial ceremony which attracted people from all walks of life because of the cheerfulness, humility, popularity and unassuming nature of the deceased took place at her husband residence No.15 Iyasara Street, Omoku and Conducted by New Covenant Deanery of Anglican Church Omoku was observed in line with COVID 19 protocols.
