RSU Vice Chancellor Happy With TETFUND
…Praises Lecturers For Job Well Done
The Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University (RSU), Professor Nledum Okogbule, has commended the leadership of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) for their support to institutions of higher learning across the country.
Prof. Okogbule who made the commendation recently at RSU while conducting officials of the group round the campus commended TETFUND for working to ensure that basic academic facilities are provided on campuses across the country.
He expressed pleasure that about three Faculties building projects are presently in advanced stage of completion in the university, naming the faculties as those of Arts and Humanity, Social Sciences and Faculty of Education.
Prof Okogbule hinted that another mandate of TETFUND is to encourage research and development (R and D).
His words: “Another mandate of TETFUND is to support our university scholars in the area of academic research. He added that many lecturers from the institution have been accessing the Fund made available by TETFUND.
The Vice Chancellor who stressed that leading a great institution as RSU is a huge task, assured that his team would continue to get better as well as consolidate on the successes already achieved.
Prof Okogbule commended the lecturers of the university for their dedication and hard work, adding that the cordial and robust student-management relationship would be sustained.
“The present administration would continue to provide qualitative education and leadership as well as create the right environment in order for our students to study and compete favourably with their foreign counterparts”, he said.
