According to reports, the former lawmaker who represented the Etche-Omuma Federal Constituency up until June 2019, High Chief (Hon) Jerome Eke who is popularly known as the Igolo 1 of Etche Ethnic Nationality, passed on Friday, 15th January, 2021 after suffering from an unknown ailment for a while.
The report stated that the late wife of the Honourable lawmaker, Late Mrs Jerome Eke, had earlier passed on, on the 5th of January after suffering from an unknown ailment as well.
The sad incident has brought a great shock to the people of Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, as anyone is yet able to know the cause of their sudden deaths.
This is such a great loss to the people of Ndashi Community in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, and the first in history of the people, as such incident hasn’t occurred in the past. The case of a couple both dieing in the space of ten days after suffering from an unknown ailment for such a long time, which was incurable.
The Late High Chief Hon and Late Mrs Jerome Eke, has left behind their beloved children who are still tender below the age of fifteen (15) years old. Their family members are in deep tears because of the sad incident.
