The Local security outfit in Ogbakiri Community of Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State known as “OGBASPAC” has vowed to flush out all criminal elements in the area.
A man thought to be strong man of the outfit, Comrade Emeka Emesiobi stated this in a chat with newsmen over the weekend at Emohua during the Commissioning of Isiodu imternal roads by the governor .
He maintained that with the operation of the local security outfit, Ogbakiri Community is very peaceful now.
“OGBASPAC” is doing very well, we don’t steal, kidnap, or kill, but we rather help the police to restore peace in our community for development purposes”, he said.
Emesiobi used the opportunity to thank governor Nyesom Wike for recognizing the outfit but appeal to the Rivers State Government to support them do their job better .
At the commissioning ceremony, OGBASPAC said they were on ground to add to the total security of the venue and beyond.
He however, lamented that one of their major challenges is the blackmailing of their members by criminally minded stakeholders with a view to dislodging or discrediting the outfit for their personal interest.
As part of achievement recorded, Emesiobi said most of the known cultists had turned a new leaf. asked to give an insight in the security crisis rocking the Ibaa community, Emesiobi said he can only talk of things that concern the Ogbakiri community which is his area of Jurisdiction.
He used the opportunity to appeal to governor Wike to open up more of their internal roads, renovate some of the dilapidated schools and as well restore regular electricity supply in their area.
