Rivers NUJ Inaugurates Information Chapel Exco
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council, on Monday inaugurated the new executive members of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Federal Information Chapel to pilot the affairs of the Chapel.
The inauguration which took place in the office of the Head of Centre, Federal Information Centre, Port Harcourt, had the Rivers State NUJ Chairman, Mr. Stanley Job and other NUJ executives to administer the oath of office to the new Chapel executives.
The Rivers State NUJ Chairman after administering the oath of office on the new executives of the Chapel, reminded the Chapel members of the essence of the union, while also urging the leadership of the Chapel to ensure that members of the Chapel attend State Congress.
The newly sworn-in Chapel Chairman, Obokuru Gabriel, in his acceptance speech, solicited for the contribution and submission of Chapel members to enable his administration work effectively.
Speaking earlier at the event, the Head of Centre, Federal Information Centre, Port Harcourt, Mr. Nnam James in his welcome address, expressed appreciation to members of the Chapel and also the executives of NUJ for reviving the Federal Information Chapel of NUJ in Rivers State and promised to ensure success would be achieved as long as he remains the Head of Centre.
