BRACED Union Rivers State Council Inaugurates State, LGA

The Rivers State Council of the Braced Union has inaugurated the State Executives and LGA Coordinators, who were officially sworn in on Friday 15th October 2021 at the Mass Central Hotel, Rumuogba, Port Harcourt at the instance of the National President of the body, High Chief Monday Wehere JP and the Director-General of Braced Commission, Amb. Joe Keshi (OON).

The State Officers are: –

1. Mr. Tom Inko-Tariah – State Chairman
2. Amb. (Elder) Nelson Ibibo – Deputy Chairman
3. Comrade Alamina Abibo – Director of Publicity
4. Barr. O.C. Higher King – State Secretary
5. Comrade Igwe Onyeche Wofurum – Deputy State Secretary
6. Hon. Beatrice OlunwoAwala JP – Director of Treasury
7. Mrs. Kate Sam- Ngbor – Director of Welfare
8. Barr. Goma K- Ohochukwu – Director of Legal Services
9. Sqn. Ldr. N. Ordu-Obuah (rtd.) – Director of Security Services
10. Amadi Precious Gilbert Chioma – Women Leader
11. Comrade Uriah Wilfred Sylvester – Director of Organizing
12. Mr. Edward Gbaraage – Director of Youth Affairs
13. Elder (Deacon) Omodu Solomon – Director of Finance
14. Mr. Rogers Banigo – Director of Civics
15. Comrade Innocent Okocha – Director of Contact and Mobilization.

Shortly after the swearing-in of officers of the Rivers State Council, the National President of Braced Union, High Chief Monday Wehere JP, supported by representatives of Braced Commission and some members of the high table, handed over the Braced Union flag to the State Chairman of Braced Union, Mr. Tom Inko-Tariah.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Tom Inko-Tariah stated that Braced Union, Rivers State Council will work in synergy with the Rivers State Government on policies that will bring development to the state, and thanked His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike for embarking on people-oriented projects which have transformed the state for the good of Rivers citizens.

The occasion which also was used to mark this year’s World Food Day, climaxed with flagging of the Braced Union, Rivers State Council’s pet project ‘One Million Pawpaw’ to be planted in the 23 LGAs of Rivers State, and to encourage every household to adopt home gardening especially in the urban areas.

The Chairman of the event, Prof Simeon Chituru Achinewhu, who was supported by the Ambassador Joe Keshi and High Chief Monday Wehere JP, joined the State Chairman Tom Inko-Tariah to plant Pawpaw seedling to mark the World Food Day.
