How Man Killed Cousin In Ogoni Community

Possible reason on why a man in his early twenties identified as Bobby Gabriel last Sunday night allegedly stabbed his cousin Kopapa Neete in his early forties to death at Duburo community in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State has emerged.

Community source told our correspondent that the deceased who was into fishing business at Abua in Abua/Odual Local Government Area came back to the community  with some bundles of zinic with intention of roofing his building .

Our source disclosed that the deceased caught the suspected killer while he was allegedly stealing some pieces of zinic and when the deceased confronted the suspect, the alleged killer took a knife and stabbed him to death.

We gathered that the suspected killer, Mr  Gabriel fled after he allegedly stabbed the deceased to death while the community was thrown into pandemonium and chaos.

When contacted the Chairman of Community Development Committee (CDC) of the Duburo community, Vincent Gbosi   confirmed the incident to our reporter in a telephone interview.

Mr Gbosi disclosed that the incident has been reported at   Bori Divisional Police headquarters by some elders and Chiefs in the community.

The spokes- person for Rivers State Police command, SP Nnamdi Omoni was yet to respond to enquiries by our reporter.

As at press time, we gathered the suspect Bobby Gabriel has been arrested and transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Port Harcourt.
