Christians Advised To Return Thanks To God Under Any Circumstance

Christians have been advised to always develop the habit of returning thanks to God under any circumstances they found themselves.

This, according to the Redeem Christian Church of God South/South Coordinator Pst. Belemina Obunge, even perfects the situation which one is returning thanksgiving to God. Represented by Pst. Tony Curtis Ukagwu of the RCCG, the guest speaker said that despite the Nigerian situation which appears to be hopeless, that the future is bright especially with the thanksgiving which is meant to propel the action the more.

Quoting profusely from the holy book, the man of God said the state thanksgiving service for the Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) would only provoke God to fast forward his works.

He urged Christians to get involved into the Nigerians politics especially now that another general election is approaching instead of resorting only to praying.

According to him, “the conveners of this programme are wise because thanksgiving is one of the ways to actualize our prayers as there is need to return thanks to God in advance over the situation of the country”.

The guest speaker made it clear that there is a divine hand in the affairs of Nigeria, hence her condition has not degenerated.

Another man of God, Pst David Adeniyi of the RCCG who conducted the intercessory prayers urged Christians to rise up to the occasion with all their resources to rescue Nigeria.

“Things have actually fallen apart and God is looking for men/women to lead the rescue team,” he said.

He made it clear that IBBN is a righteous course for religious leaders to deliver the country as there won’t be any pulpit without peace and security.

He appealed to all Christians to get involved and do all within their powers to actualize the vision.

The Rivers State Coordinator of IBBN, Pst (Amb.) Ekiye C. Ekiye earlier used the platform to reel out most of the inadequacies that has plagued the country and charged those present to rise up and be counted in the fight to restore Nigeria to her lost glory.

He said “please get involved with your resources, your person, your finance or your contacts to ensure that the objectives of this noble goal is achieved”.

Earlier, the IBBN state youth leader, Pst Jeremiah Joseph Udama also reel out the aims and objectives of the group to includes building a strong prayer base that will take care of the spiritual climate of the nation;

Advocating for a new Nigeria that is built on the principles of democracy; rule of law, social justice and liberty for all regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender and social status among others.

The Christian Associate of Nigeria (CAN) state chairman, Most Special Apostle Stanley Dimkpa was among the prominent men of God who delivered goodwill messages at the event.

Represented by the CAN Assistant Secretary, Pst. Amb. John Odinichi said they are willing to partner with the IBBN to achieve set goal especially since one of their own Pst. Ekiye is involved.

He said the job of restoring Nigeria is a task that must be done and needs every hands on deck.

“The task is a collective responsibility and we cannot continue to be on lookers this time around as the country belongs to us all,” he said.

In her vote of thanks, the IBBN prayer coordinator, Evang (Mrs) Eneni Roberts appreciated the invited guests who kept a date with them despite their busy schedules on a working day and urged them to persevere until the ultimate goal is achieved.
