WSM Inaugurates Excos In DELGA
The Degema chapter of the Wike Solidarity Movement has over the weekend inaugurated its executives at the local government, wards and unit levels.
The Director General of WSM, Prince Sudor Nwiyor, in his speech, charged the various Executive Council members to go to the nooks and crannies of the local government area to mobilize support for Governor Nyesom Wike, saying that is the only way to say thank you to the governor for his developmental strides, and for him to continue the good work he is doing in the State.
Prince Nwiyor, who stated this at the Rt. Hon. Tonye Harry Square, Degema Consulate, urged the people not to allow any threat and intimidation from their opponents.
In his speech at the event, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Hon. Dr. Gabriel Pidomson, charged the members to go to their various wards and units for mobilization, saying that the PDP is aware of the APC strategy to high-jack electoral materials, urging them to be strong and courageous.
He noted that victory is certain for the PDP, as a party, since Governor Nyesom Wike has embarked on one project or the other in the 23 LGAs, thereby touching the lives of the people of the State.
According to him, the people of Delga ought to be grateful to governor Wike for given them the opportunity to produce the first female Deputy Governor of Rivers State, which goes a long way to show his love for the LGA.
Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry-Banigo, the Deputy Governor of Rivers State assured Governor Nyesom Wike that the people of Degema LGA will unanimously vote for him come 2019, noting that he has always been a Kalabari friendly governor.
She adviced the people not to be deceived by anybody, and that the dividends of democracy the people of the State are enjoying in this present administration are even more than enough to return the governor to power come 2019.
According to her, since the APC led government came into power at the federal level, Nigerians have been suffering and dying almost on a daily basis, adding that the APC is a sinking boat that has failed all Nigerians and should be voted out.
The Executive Chairman of Degema LGA, Hon. Dr. Tony Philmoore, assured the governor and the party that Degema will remain PDP and that the party will win in all elections in the area.
According to him, the only way to show appreciation or reciprocate the gesture is to vote enmasse for Wike come 2019, as he has made history by making their daughter the first female deputy governor of the State.
