Apst. Ogu Decries Buhari’s Move To Withdraw Licensed Arms

The move by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, to mop up all licensed  arms in the country has been criticised by the General Overseer of Aboundant Life Evangel Mission (ALEM), Apostle Eugene Egwuatu Ogu.

He made the condemnation while ministering on Sunday at ALEM Headquarters, Port -Harcourt.

According to him, the signing into law of a bill seeking to withdraw licensed arms is threatening to lives of the people.

He maintained that the reason for every law is to protect the citizens and wondered why the government is interested in toy guns people lawfully acquired just for either to hunt or defend  themselves in the face of trouble when there are so many unlawfully acquired AK 47 rifles and machine guns in the country.

Ministering on the topic “Divine Counsel,” the President General of Arm of Hope Foundation, said  signing such bill into law by Mr President means that he will be complying with  devilish advice targeted at ruining the destinies of the people.

Apostle Ogu advised the president to desist from the those counsels that are inspired by law but not in tandem with God’s word stressing that those in positions of authority should be careful in the kind of advices they heed to.

“When God puts you in a position, find out what your responsibilities are and don’t be bigger than the work you are called to do”, he advised.
