Ogu Monarch Bags “The Father Of Peace” Award From Ijaw Waterfront Women

The Traditional Ruler and Amanyanabo of Ogu kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, King Nicholas Dickson Ibiebele Nimenibo, Loko IX has been honoured as “The Father of Peace” by the Ijaw waterfront women, Ogu/Bolo Chapter.

Speaking while receiving the award at his Palace in Ogu on Saturday, July 6, 2019, King Nicholas Dickson Ibiebele Nimenibo enjoined the group to always project the Ijaw in all their activities.

The Ogu monarch who thanked them for the honour said the Ijaw nation needs such association and women to strengthen and support Ijaw cause and charged them to keep up the spirit of recognizing and honouring their people.

He further advised them to continue in their peace advocacy so that Ijaw nation will continue to grow from strength to strength and also thanked them for the award, which he said would spur him to ensure that peace reigns supreme in his domain to attract more developments.

In her speech, the President of the forum, Sarah Igbelabo commenced the monarch for the prevailing peace, unity and development in the area and expressed the need for all Ijaw Waterfront Women to embrace the body as to speak with one voice to achieve set goals for the Ijaw Wakirike Nation.

Earlier speaking, the Ogu/Bolo Chapter Coordinator of the Ijaw Waterfront Women, Charity Nangibo affirmed that Ogu is a peaceful place hence the development and charged the youths to embrace and maintain the existing peace as no meaningful development could take place in an atmosphere devoid of peace.

Nangibo said the honour was to join the king of Ogu celebrate the peaceful disposition of the kingdom, stressing that the entire Ijaw Waterfront Women appreciated his rulership and peace in the community.

You are indeed a father of all and peace keeping king, she asserted, and prayed God to guide and protect him, give him wisdom, knowledge ad understanding to rule the good people of Ogu kingdom.
