Delighted over the successful conduct of the grand finale of the Local Government Election Campaign rally, organized by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Khana Chapter, in Bori on Saturday, April 10, 2021, the member representing Khana/Gokana federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Robinson Dekor has poured his heart of gratitude to Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for attending the event.
The federal lawmaker, in a statement, said Khana and indeed, Ogoni people cannot thank the Governor enough for gracing the rally with his presence, despite his busy schedules, describing his action as a clear demonstration of his deep seated love for the Ogoni people.
He noted that by coming to Bori and speaking directly to the people, Governor Wike has triggered fresh enthusiasm in the people, who are eagerly waiting for election day to vote for all PDP candidates.
“This is why Governor Wike is the Man of the People. The governor told us that our rally was the first he was attending since the flag off of campaigns in the State. That is demonstration of love, and that is why we will continue to love him, because he loves us like no other!”, the federal lawmaker declared.
Rt. Hon. Dum Dekor also thanked the people of Khana Local Government Area for displaying the traditional hospitality of Ogoni people which culminated in the impressive turnout to welcome His Excellency, Governor Nyesom Wike.
He reminded them that one good turn deserves another, stressing that the show of love towards the governor would not go unnoticed.
The federal lawmaker who was a former Commissioner for Works in the State and former Deputy Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly, also applauded the Chairman, Khana Local Government Campaign Council, Barr. Dinebari Loolo for a job well done, noting that the Chairman brought his organizational prowess to bear which made the event a huge success.
The federal Lawmaker further added that the occasion would not have recorded the immense success without the input of the elders and leadership of the PDP in Khana Local Government, saying his heart goes out to them all.
While welcoming and congratulating APC decampees who defected to the PDP during the campaign grand finale, Rt. Hon. Dekor expressed joy for the return of Dr. Befii Charles Nwile, former All Progressives Congress (APC) strongman in Khana Local Government Area who was one time Deputy Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly with hundreds of APC members back to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
