NULGE Boss Charges Caretaker Committee To Be Committed

The caretaker committee chairman of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Comrade Pastor Tobins Tamunotonye, has called on caretaker committee members of the union across the 23 local government areas to see their position as a call to duty.

Comrade Tamunotonye, made the call while swearing in the caretaker committee members in Port Harcourt recently.

He charged them to ensure that they work in concert with the state Governor, Barr. Nyesom E. Wike in order to succeed as a group.

The NULGE boss, argued that it would be difficult for anyone or group to excel without support of the government.

He also informed that both his swearing in by the acting national president of the union, Comrade Nanpkak Miri Njomiri and the local government members, mark the dawn of a new era and the end of Mr. Franklin Ajunwo’s led NULGE in the State.

It was learnt that the swearing in was as a result of a National Industrial Court sitting in Owerri, that sacked all the past executives of the union on the 29th of July 2019.

Those sworn in at Ehohua branch are, Isaiah Ordu – Chairman; Mark Nna ThankGod, Vice Chairman; Ndata Clifford, Trustee.

Others include, Margaret Piawa (welfare Officer), Owolo Santos Owolo (Publicity Secretary), Romans John Ogbuleke (Auditor), Ukpabi Boniface C. (Treasurer), while Tumbari Leslie-Eke carried the day as woman leader and coordinator in the State.

The caretaker chairman, further appealed to the state Governor, to effect payment of workers salaries and other entitlements as a motivational measure.
