…Says He Is God Sent
One of the respected Traditional Rulers in Rivers State, HRH Eze, Amb. Sir (Dr) Emeka George Ihunwo (JP), Paramount Ruler/Nyenweli Woji Community, (Eze Oganuruwhu Woji) has felicitated with Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike over his achievements within his second term 100 days in office.
Speaking with newsmen during the commissioning of the Justice Iche Ndu Road (former Refinery road) in Port Harcourt over the weekend, he stated that the governor has left no one in doubt of his mission to restore the state to her lost glory, hence his determination to plant one project or the other in all the 23 local government areas of the state.
According to him, “The governor has given priority attention to the development of the state. I am not flattering him or trying to please anybody. Wike is a politician with a difference. I have said it before that the way the governor is going, he will one day emerge the President of this great country, Nigeria”, he noted.
The monarch made it known that with governor Wike’s antecedents in office since he was the Obio/Akpor local government chairman, Chief Of Staff, Government House, to Minister, he has left indelible marks on his trail.
Eze Ihunwo also stated that the Taskforce on illegal Motor Parks, and Street Traders which this administration initiated has actually decongested the streets of Port Harcourt and its environs: “Human and vehicular traffic now move freely in the city”. Not too long ago Governor Wike also initiated a new security architecture with the introduction and procurement of equipments for the “Operation Sting” security outfit to enable Rivers people sleep with their two eyes closed.”
The monarch stated further that Governor Wike has indeed left very big shoes for his successors in office as he has demystified governance through his service delivery since assuming office.
He appealed to every paramount ruler and indeed opinion leaders in the state to pray and support the governor and as well ensure the maintenance of projects cited in their domain.
The paramount ruler said Woji Community has set up a local surveillance committee in the area to ensure the sanitary condition of the place and indeed maintenance of government projects in the area.
“Infact anybody who said he has not seen anything governor Wike is doing in Rivers State needs an optician to make a very big glass for him/her,” he declared.
Similarly the General Manager of the Rivers State Television (RSTV), Ms Dafini Gogo Abbe has lauded the Rivers State governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his developmental strides since assuming office in 2015.
She stated this in a chat with newsmen in her office in Elelenwo over the weekend.
The GM said Governor Wike has left no one in doubt as a prepared leader who came with a blue print to restore Rivers State to her lost glory.
Ms Gogo Abbe made it clear that the transformation of the Justice Iche Ndu road to its present state as well as the visit of a state governor to the station for the first time ever is a sign of good things to come.
According to her, “some of us are not exaggerating but speaking the truth as we know it.
“Anybody who do not reflect on the past will not appreciate the present. I have lived in Elelenwo Community for a long time and witnessed the deplorable condition of this road being commissioned today. People have died on the road, vehicle fell over themselves in their effort to meander their way.
“Yet, we had an administration for eight (8) years in this state. When you see a person with leadership qualities and vision, it is important to encourage him/her in the interest of all,” she declared”.
