As more congratulations come for Dr. Samuel Kalagbor, Rector, Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, for winning National Network Newspaper’s Outstanding Educational Administrator Award students of the polytechnic have said he’s a good administrator.
The Vice President of Students’ Union Government in Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Rumuola, Port-Harcourt in Rivers State, Comrade Favour Pius, who spoke on Friday in an interview about the award at the school premises said that the rector of the polytechnic is fatherly and has good administrative skills.
She said: “It’s good that he was acknowledged. He’s a good administrator. He knows how to tackle issues (in the polytechnic). He’s nice. He’s a father. He’s a mentor”.
The student who is of Department of Banking and Finance, National Diploma One, said the rector deserves the award noting there’s good relationship between students of the polytechnic and rector of the institution.
Another student, Mr. John-Jumbo Precious of the Department of Computer Engineering, National Diploma Two, also that the rector deserves the award, conferred by the newspaper.
He said Dr. Kalagbor is a noble man with integrity saying he has heard nothing bad about him.
According to him, the rector runs the polytechnic very well with “good mind” adding that students are happy with him.
He said the rector coordinates academic activities in the institution very properly adding lecturers are committed in their academic responsibilities.
On his part, a student of Department of Building Technology, National Diploma Two, Mr. Pepple Ibifubara Godson, said that the rector of the polytechnic has set high educational standards which encourage students to work hard since there’s no room for anyone to use money to pass exam.
He said he’s impressed with the way the rector runs affairs of the polytechnic adding that lecturers of the polytechnic are qualified.
Another student, Sobomate Offibari of Department of Accountancy, National Diploma Two, also said that the rector of the polytechnic is a good administrator.
Dr. Samuel Kalagbor was among six other distinguished guests who received award at the Hotel Presidential in Port-Harcourt on 18 October conferred by National Network Newspaper.
