The Chairman of the DAA 3 Cluster Development Board (CDB), Hon. Christian Sekibo has commissioned a Memorial Hall built in honour of late King Ibiamaye Loku of Minama in Asari Toru Local Government Area.
Speaking while commissioning the project, Hon. Sekibo said the establishment of the cluster has gone a long way in solving issues directly affecting the populace; including the erection of gigantic infrastructural edifice.
He explained that Minama community is one of the autonomous communities in the cluster development board, adding that by its geographical location, the community is situated in Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers state.
The Board Chairman thanked the Community Regent, Chief P.H Grans-Ege, his Council of Chiefs and the youths for their corporation and further advised the community leaders to relate with people that are ready to protect the interest of the community at all times.
His words: “Let me say that I sincerely appreciate you for your corporation during the construction of the project; and to attract more sustainable projects, I urge you to always ensure you send the right persons that have the community at heart into the Board for efficient and effective representation”.
He stated that out of his benevolence, he will personally build befitting public toilet for the community for choosing a reliable representative while urging them to scout for a strategic place for the commencement of the project.
Also speaking, The Regent of the community Chief Ege thanked the Board Chairman and members for the building and commissioning of the project saying it will be facelift to the community.
He said the leadership of the Board has shown that they are passionate about providing essential amenities for the people, and again commended them for conceiving the worthy project.
A prominent member of the community, Chief Ipalibo Iyiabo in his vote of thanks, praised Hon. Sekibo and his team for demonstrating that they truly care for the rural communities, adding that the project had been the desire of the community which for many years, had suffered from the moribund building.
