The Corona Virus no doubt is a pandemic that has sent fears down the spine of many nations, but what the leaders of these nations especially the world powers have failed to do is to admit that they are responsible for the dreaded virus that is ravaging the whole universe.
Reacting to the dreaded pandemic, the General overseer of Abundant Life Evangel Mission (ALEM), Apostle Eugene Ogu hinted that the problem the whole world is thrown into is as a result of the competition between the world powers in developing chemical weapons of war.
He noted that their insatiable quest for knowledge of weapons of war led to the emergence of Corona Virus, regretting that instead of the whole world seek knowledge on a daily basis but does not see divine knowledge or God.
He described as funny that despite the money spent on developing missiles, just a virus is what it takes to render all the powerful weapons of war useless as the very world powers cannot even rely on their advanced technology to figure out how to contain with the virus that started ravaging from their own nations.
He prayed God to give unto his children the spirit of wisdom especially as no man knows how long he will live on this earth, adding that the situation is a proof that God is in charge of the universe.
Apostle Ogu who maintained that the Corona Virus has gone a long way to show that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal urged Christians to believe that the only thing that can save is the trust in God and not in missiles and hitech weapons of war.
“The whole world is under threat just because of a Virus, the world powers are helpless. The Virus has gone beyond class, colour and race, it is ravaging humanity and time has come for people to turn to God, seek God’s face because that is the only way out of this pandemic”
“The virus is caused by a laboratory discovery, men no longer care to discover God, that which men invented by themselves is what is ravaging the world, men should in their quest for knowledge, seek God first”, Apostle advised.
According to him, Corona Virus is just a sign that time has come when man will manufacture the very thing that will ruin him adding that against all forms of weapons and missiles mere hand washing has become a recommended weapon against Corona Virus.
On the number of cases recorded in Nigeria so far, the National President of Arm Of Hope Foundation maintained that God is so merciful for this country that has over 7000 entries and yet it does not have adequate facilities to contain COVID-19.
Still speaking, he stated that even the places people are being quarantined are not well equipped and wondered if most of the people quarantined are not malaria patients.
The man of God noted in dismay that most Nigerians will be infected because of their lifestyles and their unwillingness to adhere to the precautions as given by World Health Organization (WHO), coupled with the system that cares for nobody.
He however prayed God to ignore the unpreparedness of Nigeria and save all while advising Nigerians to know that now is the time to express faith in God.
Expressing worry that the situation has adversely affected the system as schools are closed, church activities restrained, he hinted that the virus is so contagious such that before an individual gets to know he has it he has already infected so many people around him.
He warned against panic and all sorts of myths surrounding COVID-19 pointing out that the best way to contain it is by trusting in God and adhering to the precautionary measures.
He commended the Rivers State Governor, Bar. Nyesom Wike for the steps he has taken so far in ensuring that the State does not record any case and prayed God to take away the plague.
