RIWAMA Sole Administrator, Bro Obuah Applauds Rivers People For Peaceful Easter Celebration
…Insists On Regular Sanitary Conditions, Prayers To Conquer Coronavirus
The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro Felix Obuah has applauded the peaceful celebration of Easter across the 23 Local Government Areas in addition to strict adherence to the State government orders and sanitation demands by Rivers residents during the celebration.
Bro Obuah in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam said the level of cleanness and healthy outlook of Port Harcourt, the state capital and its environs throughout the period of Easter was encouraging and added colour to the Easter celebration despite the general lockdown as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Sole Administrator said the low key celebration of this year’s Easter should be taken as part of sacrifice for the quick end of the global pandemic, reasoning that at a time like this, our Lord, Jesus Christ whose death and resurrection we celebrate at Easter had to sacrifice his life for our salvation and eternal life.
Life without challenges and sacrifices is hardly fruitful, Bro Obuah noted, stressing that the present sufferings occasioned by coronavirus and the commendable efforts of the Rivers State government, led by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to contain the spread will leave the people stronger, more united and confident in Governor Wike at the end of the period.
The Sole Administrator thanked all Rivers people and residents in the state for their support and co-operation with His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike who has remained unruffled and unprovoked in his bid to ensure that no room is created for the coronavirus pandemic to spread in the state.
Rather than mourn and despair, Bro Obuah enjoined all Rivers people to use the Easter period to pray to conquer as our master Jesus suffered to conquer death, and rekindle their trust in Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike whom he described as enthusiastic about containing the spread of the coronavirus in the state not minding attempts by certain political detractors to politicize the issue.
“Every great and commanding movement in the annals of the world is the triumph of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without it. And no person who is enthusiastic about his work as our hard working Governor has demonstrated has anything to fear from life”, Bro Obuah declared.
The Sole Administrator expressed optimism that the overpowering blood of Jesus Christ will erode all traces of the dreaded coronavirus out of Rivers State and Nigeria in general while wishing all a happy Easter celebration.
