… Aleto to Get New Transformer from  Eleme LG Chairman

The Executive Chairman of Eleme local government area, Hon. (Barr.) Philip Okparaji and the King of Eleme land, HRM, Emere Philip Obele have hailed the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Wike on the planned construction of road linking Woji, Aleto and Alesa.

Speaking during a community meeting where the Eleme LG Chairman formally informed the people of Aleto of the planned construction, he said this shows that the governor means well for the people of Eleme. He thanked the Governor for the project.

He used the medium to inform the people of Aleto that he is acquiring a new transformer for the community to boost electricity. According to him, steady power supply is one of his major area of concentration for the people of Eleme and getting a transformer is one of the steps he is taking to ensure that.

On security which he said is another area of importance to him, he applauded the effort of the Aleto vigilante charging them to sustain the tempo. He said persons with credible character should be used for the vigilante as they will go through the present profiling.

He further stated that with the commencement of Town Hall meetings which kick starts from Alesa, Alode and Agbonchia tommorow, the local government and the Police will be meeting face to face with the people in their various communities to confer on the issues of Peace and security in the area, adding that letters and circular has been sent to the effect.

Also speaking, HRM King Philip Obele who doubles as the Paramount Ruler of Aleto thanked the government of Rivers State headed by Governor Nyesom Wike adding that the people will work assiduously with the state government in ensuring that the project commence smoothly for the benefit of the people.

He prayed for the government and assured the Governor that Aleto people will always support and encourage him in areas of security and development.

The King disclosed that he has had a very cordial relationship and smooth communication process with the Chairman thanking him for having a listening ear.

A committee was set up to ensure smooth working with officials of the state government on the execution of the road project. Among the committee members are Prince Brain Gokpa, Silas Oluka-Nke, the Community Development Chairman (CDC) of Aleto, Ochen Oluka and 3 others.
