Police Raid Puts Rumukpe OSPAC In Disarray

Report say OSPAC, local vigilante in Rumukpe community, Emohua local Government area of Rivers State is now in disarray following the raid on their office by Police officers from a unit of the Rivers State command last Sunday.

We gathered that the raid by the Police was due to alleged attempted murder of one Gabriel Jeremiah by an OSPAC member known as Ndubuisi Obiri.

Our source said two of the OSPAC members were arrested by the Police.

Meanwhile, Gabriel Jeremiah, a native of Rumuekpe, in Emohua Local Government in an interview with our reporter narrated how he  was allegedly butchered with machete by an OSPAC, a local vigilante member in the community who accused him of dropping  dead snake in his (OSPAC Member) house  after the OSPAC personnel reportedly claimed their god found him guilty of the act.

Mr Jeremiah explained that as he came back from work, an OSPAC member

known as Obiri Ndubuisi aka ‘money die there’ came to his house and reportedly told him that he has consulted OSPAC god and he was told by their god that he(Jeremiah) dropped dead snake inside the OSPAC member’s house.

Mr Jeremiah revealed that the OSPAC member descended on him with machete which resulted to deep cuts in his leg and multiple injuries on other part of his body despite his plea that he is innocent of what he is being accused of.

Mr Jeremiah disclosed that he reported the matter to the OSPAC commander in the community but no action was taken by the commander.

When contacted by our reporter, the unit commander of OSPAC in Rumukpe, Mr Harrison Wokoma told our correspondent in a telephone interview that the matter has not been officially reported to him, that he heard it from side talk.

The spokesperson of Rivers State Police command was yet to confirm the arrest of the OSPAC members as he neither responded to text messages nor picked several calls put across to him by our reporter at press time.
