KELGA Chairmanship Candidate Advised To Run All Inclusive Administration
The Ikwerre LG Council Boss and chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the April 17, 2021 council election, Hon Engr. Samuel Nwanosike has been advised to run an all inclusive government where all segments of the society are consulted in course of running the KELGA council administration this time around in the interest of all.
Chief Sir Goodluck Nwobike gave the advice in Port Harcourt over the weekend during the LG campaign kickoff.
He said those aspirants or former council chairmen who did not make the list was not because they are not competent enough or did not perform as there is no indices for performance in their various local governments.
“Performance depends on the resources available to the person involved and the terrain of his area”. They all performed within their limit”, he said.
“I said this because LG has no power of their own to tackle the challenges.
On the assurance of his political party victory at the election, the former KELGA chairmanship aspirant said, “Members of the PDP support groups would be mobilized to campaign in all the wards/units for the electoral victory of its candidates for the consolidation of the grassroot development.
Hon. Nwobike used the opportunity to condemn the All Progressive Congress (APC) administration both in the state and federal level, pointing out that since inception of the administration they cannot point to any legacy neither did they come in with a road map for the nation’s development at inception.
He recalled the latest approval of the $1.5billion dollars for the rehabilitation of the Port Harcourt Refinery as one of the hoaxes of the APC federal government; adding that except the fund is actually released for the project take off, it does not call for jubilation as their promises cannot be relied upon.
The former KELGA chairmanship aspirants however, advised the Nigerian people to be hopeful and give all their support to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the only hope to liberate the country come 2023 general election.
In a similar development Barr (Mrs) Comfort Uche Agumagu has expressed her excitement over the success of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) LG Council electioneering campaign flag-off over the weekend in Port Harcourt.
