BOT Chairman Commends Gov Wike For Defending Party
The Chairman of Board of Trustees (BOT) of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Walid Jibrin, has lauded the governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, for defending party.
The BOT Chairman said that the governor defended the party in way no one has ever done.
He spoke before the commissioning of Community Secondary School, Eteo in Eleme Local Government.
He said his assignment to commission the school required he should congratulate the governor.
He said: “Governor Wike remains one of the most important members of our party who remains unshaken. We have seen what Governor Wike has done in this country about PDP. Is there anybody in this party who has stood very firm and speaking seriously for the party like Wike is doing? It demands our congratulations for what he is doing”.
He said members of the party’s BOT respected the governor, saying the school to be commissioned was very important to people in the area.
He also said he was congratulating the governor for what he was doing adding he would support him in any way.
He said the number of projects executed and commissioned by eminent Nigerians was testimony of what the governor was doing and said that the school would promote access to education.
Senator Jibrin said the party’s BOT felt need to congratulate him for what he was doing, adding that the state was lucky to have him.
He said he hopes students of the school would move up to acquire education in universities in the country.
The reconstructed school has total of twenty-four classroom blocks with laboratories and workshops as well as library, assembly hall, chapel and stores and a one-storey building.
The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku, said in remarks the school would provide good learning environment for students and thanked the governor for the feat saying that the school was great transformation.
