DAA 3 Cluster Board Chairman Urges Kalabari Youth To Embrace Peace

The chairman of the DAA 3 Cluster Board, Hon Mpaka Karibi Botoye has enjoined the Kalabari youths to channel their energies to meaningful and productive engagements and eschew all manner of violence from their lifestyle.

He made the remark while addressing newsmen Wednesday, July 28, 2021. He assured the youths of a brighter future as he hopes to do all within his power to ensure that they are meaningfully engaged and further promised to meet with the traditional rulers and the chiefs to know their needs in their various communities.

According to him, his administration is full aware that a safer Kalabari would attract more development from the government, hence his administration would cater for, provide and create the enabling environment for both graduates and those that were unable to go to school, to at least learn a skill.

The Board Chairman assured that all companies operating within their land have been mandated to employ both males and females. He said his administration has employed more than 100 persons and would not rest until a good number of youths are employed to keep off the road.

Hon. Botoye reaffirmed his commitment to remain resolute to serve and justify the trust reposed in him, assuring that he would continue to work to deliver good governance for the collective good of all Kalabaris. He urged the youths of Kalabari kingdom to remain peaceful and shun any acts of criminality in the kingdom.

He praised Governor Nyesom Wike for his foresight in creating the enabling environment for investment in Rivers State, adding that Rivers is arguably the most peaceful state in the country and particularly praised the governor for embarking on landmark projects which have impacted positively on the economy and social life in Rivers State.
