…As Nigerians Celebrate An Apostle At 60

The President and founder of the Royal House of Grace International Church, Apostle King David Zilly Aggrey has described his 60th birthday celebration as the first half of a football match, assuring that God would see him through to celebrate the remaining half.

The iconic preacher who was speaking at the Gala Nightduring the double celebration of his 60th birthday anniversary and 29th marriage anniversary at the Graceland headquarters of the church in Port Harcourt on Sunday, said he had surrendered to the perfect will of God to be used unto His glory.

The Apostle also expressed thanks to God for leading him thus far, affirming an abiding faith in the Almighty to surpass his current attainments in the years to come.

He thanked his wife, Lady Apostle Gladys Aggrey whom he specially described as his sister, mother, confidant, advisor and personal physician, for her sacrifices, steadfastness and dedication to the course of their marriage.

Aggrey who is the leader of several religious organizations, also used the occasion to applaud the contributions of many individuals which according to him, have always been there to guide and guard as he journeyed through the thick and thin of life.

The Gala Night was spiced with colours as Pastor Paul and the famous Royal Supernatural Voices of Royal House of Grace, blessed the packed audience which included the General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere; Apostle Eugene Ogu, Bishop Victor Uzosike, political big wigs and captains of industry including the immediate past Chairman of the PDP in Rivers State, Bro. Felix Obuah and the Executive Chairman of Emohua Local Government, Hon (Dr.) Chidi Lloyd.

Some goodwill messages delivered at the event include that of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathanwho described him as an acclaimed servant of God, praising him for consistency in the ministry.

The former President who hails from Bayelsa State, as Apostle Aggrey, welcomed the celebrant to the ‘6th floor’ and prayed earnestly for more fruitful years ahead.

Renowned evangelist, Rev. (Dr.) Uma Ukpai also prayed ecstatically for the Apostle, asking that God increase the knowledge and wisdom given to Aggrey and to also double the grace given to the angels assigned to him.

National Publicity Secretary of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Dr. Emmah Isong, in his tribute urged Christendom to “roll out the drum in celebration and thanksgiving of endless hallelujah, because God has used you, by His grace to pioneer many first, deliver salvation give direction, wipe tears, rekindle hope, mend hearts, obliterate ignorance, guarantee our commonwealth and resources with your insightful apostolic teachings, strong prophetic voice, and bold utterances reverberating from the shores of the Niger Delta as a Prince”.

Others who sent goodwill messages were Pastor Rogers and Dcns Esther Obialor; Archbishop Eddy Ogbonda; Bishop (Dr.) Prince and Rev. (Mrs.) Precious Samuel Richards and Bishop (Dr.) Kingsley Enakirerhi, amongst others.

Highpoints of the event which was tagged ’60 Star Years of Grace’ was the unveiling and launching of Apostle Aggrey’s book ”12 alphabetic laws of effective leadership’ as well as special rendition of ‘Where We’ll Never Grow Old’ by Apostle Eugene Ogu.
