FG Rolls Out Activities For Democracy Day Celebration

…Declares Monday, June 13 Public Holiday

With Monday, June 13, 2022 declared public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day, the federal government has announced series of activities for the celebration.

A release issued by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation said the celebration would commence on Friday, June 10, 2022 with Juma’at Lecture/Prayers at the National Mosque, Abuja.

The statement which was signed by the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office, Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwe, on behalf of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, slated Sunday, June 12, 2022 for Presidential Broadcast.

Similarly, a church service would hold at the National Christian Center, Abuja on Sunday, June 12, 2022 while the celebration would be rounded off on Monday, June 13, 2022 with a parade at Eagle Square, Abuja.

The statement which was circulated to all Permanent Secretaries in the civil service, directed all Directorate Level Staff to attend the events.
