The people of Elibrada community in Emohua Local Government Area, Rivers State now live in fear following the killing of one Gift Chijioke on Monday and the killing of Ote Wosu, Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Elibrada community last Saturday who is also a member of security outfit in the LGA christened EMOLVIS .
Nduibusi Augustus, a relative to the deceased, blamed the security outfit for killing his brother whom he described an innocent person.
Meanwhile, a member of the security outfit who did not want his name in print in an interview with our reporter alleged that the deceased had attempted disarming a vigilante who came in search of suspected cultists who killed the Chief Security Officer of Elibrada community last Saturday when the gun exploded, killing the said Chijioke in the process.
When contacted, the Deputy Commander of EMOLVIS, Zone 2, Chief Emeka Wori confirmed the killing of the chief security officer, Mr Wosu but declined comment on the death of Chijioke.
Mr. Wori explained that gunmen suspected to be cultists last Saturday at about 4pm opened fire on the chief Security officer while he was sitting with a friend somewhere in the community which led to his death.
Mr. Wori further alleged that cultists have been having a fields day in Elibrada community while regretting that stakeholders in the community have refused speaking out on the activities of the hoodlums.
