As part of human capital development, a Non – Governmental Organization (NGO), Ambassadors Foundation Omoku, in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA), has bankrolled the school fees of 35 pupils in the area.

The founder of the group, Ambassador Okechukwu Abali, emphasized that he was driven by his passion for education and youth development, as his foundation undertakes the payment of school fees of 35 pupils in his Ward 16, ONELGA.

At an event organized by the Foundation for interaction with parents of the beneficiaries, sponsored by the Foundation, Ambassador Okechukwu Abali explained that the foundation was established over a year ago, to bridge the gap between the rich and poor, as brilliant children oftentimes, drop out of school over poor financial status of the parents.

“I came from a family whereby before you can do anything or go to school is not always easy. At times we can even be at home while other children are learning and this takes us back in class.

“I was motivated by the difficulties, I once faced as a poor student, during my days in school, and have vowed not to see any child especially in our Ward 16, that will be at home, while others are in school”, he said.

According to Ambassador Abali, since formation, Ambassador has undertaken the payment of school fees of more than 35 indigent pupils in nursery and primary schools in ward 16, promising to extend the gesture to secondary schools.

To the parents of the beneficiaries, he has this to say: “What the parents owe us is to always give good advice and guidance to the children so that they will not depart from it”. When asked whether he has political ambition, he said the people will decide.

On his part, Chairman of the Foundation, Nwokocha Innocent (Mayor) described Ambassador Okechukwu Abali as a “dynamic young man who respects everybody and looks to the growth of ward 16. We came together to see how we can better the lot of children in the ward, said the foundation.
