One Person was shot dead in Oduoha Emohua, Emohua local Government Area of Rivers State last Saturday by unknown gunmen suspected to be cultists.
A resident of the Community who spoke to National Network said the gunmen believed to be members of a cult group shot sporadically when they invaded the community which left a member of the disbanded Local Security outfit known as OSPAC in the community dead.
The resident gave the name of the deceased victim as Wachingi.
We gathered that the incident resulted to panic as many residents remained indoors after the shooting.
Our source revealed that the Rumuji Divisional Police headquarters has also visited the scene while the corpse has been evacuated to undisclosed mortuary.
The Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police command, SP Grace Iringe Koko confirmed the incident in a Telephone interview with our reporter.
SP Koko added that the incident is being investigated.
