2022 Fiscal Ranking: Kudos To Gov. Wike For Another Feat – Fubara

Following the release of the BudgiT Annual Fiscal Performance Ranking for 2022, the Rivers State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sir Siminalayi Fubara has expressed delight and given kudos to Gov. Nyesom Wike for yet another feat in making the state top the list as the best ranked for impregnable fiscal performance in Nigeria.

The report which surfaced on the website of the body – www.yourbudgit.com/data – on Thursday, October 13, 2022 ranked Rivers State as the first among the 36 states, with Kaduna State and Lagos State making the list as runners-up.

In acknowledgment of the landmark ranking, Sir Fubara excitedly noted that the clinching of the top spot by Rivers State is a clear confirmation that the Distinguished Excellence Award in Infrastructure Delivery recently bestowed on Gov. Wike by President Muhammadu Buhari is not a fluke but a true reflection of the record of on-ground accomplishments.

He emphasized that such credible ranking is an indication of proper resource application and utilization in line with budgetary provisions for the good of the people by the governor.

BudgiT, a non-governmental civic organization, using technology to intersect citizen’s engagement, stated that the Rivers State ranking shows clear cut institutional improvement that is facilitating social change by applying a prudent approach to the delivery of social services as captured in the state’s budget.

The gubernatorial candidate stressed that having such a credible organization to have ranked the state budget performance as the best-working for the people in the country, it is clear evidence that the governor and the state are on the right track.

He commended Gov. Wike for the feat and expressed confidence that he will continue on this path of greatness as posterity will always remember him for his prudent and forthright leadership.
